Aria

Aria is a desktop music player available for Windows, macOS, and Linux. It aims to provide a clean yet powerful user interface for music library management. Aria contains most of the features you would expect from a typical music player like playlists and a queue, but it also includes a plugin system for connecting to external services.

Currently, Aria supports playback of locally stored music files, streaming via Spotify Premium, and streaming with an Apple Music subscription. Ideally, the plugin system will allow for a diverse range of music sources and integrations to be added, such as support for various cloud storage providers or reporting listening activity via Last.fm.

Aria is written in a combination of TypeScript and Rust. The front-end uses React and Redux to manage the player state, and the desktop app uses Tauri to provide a lightweight web app wrapper that’s less than a 5 MB download on Windows.

Aria can be downloaded from GitHub. You can also use it online via the web player.
